It's a retro thing! Plus, wind up clocks are more satisfying to smash than digital ones.

They're in surprisingly good shape, considering the amount of sugar she takes in.

For the record, I did used to have a wind up alarm clock.
More bizarrely I got an alarm clock for Christmas once that was made to look and function like a wind up clock but was actually battery operated!
It's a retro thing!
